There are two certifications required for working as a lifeguard anywhere in the United States:
1) the Lifeguard Training certification with First Aid and
2) The CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
These certifications may be American Red Cross or an equivalent, such as YMCA, Starguard, or an Ellis certification.
Carolina Pool Management -Raleigh offers both Lifeguard Training certification and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer for Lifeguards. These are American Red Cross classes and the certifications you receive for passing the class are American Red Cross certifications.
